Why I Buy These Two Environ Skincare Products Over and Over
Once upon a time ago, my skin was discoloration-free and oh-so evenly toned. Then, I had a baby, and my hormones decided to jump on a rollercoaster of sorts, which resulted in years of breakouts and remnant spots. Coupled with sun exposure (although I’m not one for sitting in the sun and I wear sunscreen even if I don’t leave the house) and overall aging, and my forehead and cheeks began to look splotchy and dark. This wasn’t my first rodeo with hyperpigmentation, and I hope it is my last.
Rather than resorting to hydroquinone as I had in the past, I wanted to try something effective and safer. On a trip out to Los Angeles, I popped by Knockout Beauty, an ever-so-expertly-curated beauty emporium run by Cayli Cavaco Reck, who schooled me on her battle with melasma and showed me some pretty impressive before-and-after images. Before I could ask Cayli what she did to even out her skin and clear it up, she had two products from Environ in her hand that she said I had to try. So, I did.
It’s been about 18 months since I first test-drove Environ’s Antioxidant Defence Creme and Vita-Peptide C-Quence Serum1, and I continue to replenish it when I run out. The crème is rich in antioxidants like vitamins C and E and rosemary leaf, which helps protect against environmental damage and photoaging. The serum is chock-full of vitamins A, C, and E, peptides, which help to firm the skin, and lycopene, a potent antioxidant that helps protect the skin from damage incurred by both the sun and blue light. Together, this duo really packs a punch.
Not only has the discoloration on my face dramatically been reduced, but the overall texture and firmness have improved. At 42-years-old, I’m experiencing the first signs of laxity, but I can see a difference in how clear and healthy my skin looks. And that alone is reason enough for me to buy these two products on repeat.
