How to Fake Perfectly Full Lips

Filler or no filler, here’s a super simple hack to instantly make your lips—especially the ends of them—beautifully full.

1)    Line the lips with lipliner that’s similar in color to your natural lip color. If you’re planning on rocking a bright or dark lip, or any other color that isn’t a neutral, use liner that’s comparable in tone to your lipstick. No matter which way you go, ever so slightly overline both the top and bottom lip and blend in any harsh lines with a lip brush.

2)    Apply your lip color of choice. Make sure that the application is even—and don’t forget about the corners of your mouth. Again, use a lip brush to drag the color out to the corners so the pigment is even and not splotchy.

3)    Using a small concealer brush, touch up any areas where the liner or lipstick may have ‘bled outside the lines’. If you nailed it, skip this step.

4)    Now, you’re going to reapply the same lipliner you applied in step 1. Slightly overline the outer corners for added fullness. Try and connect the area where the top and bottom lip come together and form a point.

5)    Go back in with the lip brush to smooth out any harsh lines or uneven areas.
